I’m hitting the 13 years “restart” button on my blog today with a bit of a throwback.
In 2013, I was a chemist who had just discovered Arduinos and DIY 3D printers. That curiosity turned into a career; that first “cheap” printer eventually resulted in my most cited paper (ESCARGOT).
Fast forward 13 years, and Open Hardware is my main focus. I’ve used Arduinos to detect DNA, built robots, microfluidic chips, and developed new materials for 3D printing. It hasn’t always been easy (let’s just say grants and support aren’t always easy to find), but I’m exactly where I wanted to be back then.
What to expect here: Deep dives into Open Hardware. Chemistry meets Maker culture. The occasional (necessary) rant. Very random projects.
Whether you’re a returning reader or a first-timer: Welcome. It’s nice to be back! :D
