Analog

I was lucky enough that my father thought me the basics of photography long time ago. He had a small dark room where he devloped and print his photos while I bother him. Flash forward 40 years and more, and I’m here, collecting analog cameras and developing my negatives.

Big fan of medium format, especially the twin-lens reflex camera, and their huge focusing screen and the waist level shooting (Vivian Maier anyone?). The Hasselblad is from my father, and it’s quite intimidating to use…. On the other hand, some “cheap” russian mid format are quite fun to use.

On the 35mm side, I love the OM series (Yoshihisa Maitani was a genius), and the OM-1 was my first “real” camera. When I have the time, the OM-10 is my to go camera.

For the rest, most of the time I have a 35mm pocket camera with me. Sizewise and controlwise, I am a big fan of the Minox 35 (also this an impronting from my father), but finding a proper wirking one is a challenge. So my pocket camera is nowadays an Olympus Xa4 (once more Maitani)

Now, am I good at it? Probably not, but I like it.
